Unique Workshops Exclusive to HPCI

Persuasion and Influence (Networking)

A full suite of skills and strategies in relationship building and maintaining a strategic network, maintaining composure, connecting in social gatherings and following up, memory, influence, persuasion and internal politics.

The Professional Consultant

The expertise of internal and external consultants is not enough. They need to master these skills of building relationships and partnerships with their clients, problem solving, negotiating expectations and priorities and dealing with difficult client situations.

Verbal Briefings

Plan briefings to achieve the desired outcomes and deliver with impact. Practise to achieve immediate improvement in elevator briefings (30 seconds), deskside briefings (5 minutes) and formal briefings (5 to 7 minutes).

Negotiation

Layered on the strategies of interest-based negotiation are the skills of building rapport and trust, reading and responding to body language, anticipating mental, verbal and emotional traps.

Virtual Team Leadership

Leaders of virtual teams know that managing performance, conducting meetings, motivating and building a sense of community are only some challenges they face. Practices and protocols to overcome these challenges.

Leading Change

66% of change initiative failures are due to poor engagement of people. Although HPCI’s approach is informed by the most successful methodologies, it is defined by its focus on people engagement of its seven-step process template.

Safety and Credibility in Challenging Situations

Skills and strategies to prepare for safety; reading danger signs; maintaining composure and projecting confidence and credibility; overcoming gender prejudice; defusing difficult situations and responding elegantly. (This has been popular with women working in foreign countries).

Interviewing Skills

A flagship workshop for investigators, auditors, inspectors and managers. Participants practice skills of establishing rapport and trust: sending, reading and responding to verbal and non-verbal cues (including deception). They develop strategies of effective questioning and avoiding mental, verbal and emotional traps.

Mentoring Program

A program that matches mentor with mentee (through tailored software and methodology), facilitates the introduction and the first mentoring session. It provides the foundational clarity of roles and goals, relationships, benefits and mutual agreements. Participants will also learn the skills of identifying and managing self-fulfilling prophecies, rapport and trust, adapting to personalities and how to conduct mentoring sessions.

Workshops for Trainers, Facilitatorsand Teachers with an Innovative Approach

Facilitation

Open a meeting to engage even the most resistant participants, read the room for people’s state and tasks accomplishment—to know when and how to intervene (and when not to), deal with difficult people and situations effectively, close the meeting to ensure commitment to action. Design a process for your desired outcome i.e. strategic planning, team building, problem solving, learning, etc.

Train the Trainer and Accelerated Learning Tool Kit

These workshops can be integrated or separate. They are based on brain science, accelerated learning techniques and adult learning principles. These principles are applied to needs analysis, engagement, discovery, exploration, integration and application. Participants practice reading and responding to participants’ states. “You teach people, not content.”

Presentations

Participants will practise skills to manage the messenger (presenter) and craft the message for the desired outcomes and audience. The presenter will manage state and expectations to generate positive self-fulfilling prophecies, analysis and preparation of all critical success factors. It is informed by brain science, psychology and body language.

Mind Mapping

Note taking is more effective and efficient while allowing more contact with the speaker, better recall and better reporting. Participants will explore note making to present ideas in a more compelling and persuasive way, consistent with brain and memory science.
